Almost 10 months back Xiaomi has launched its tablet, the Xiaomi Mi Pad (Review) which became very popular in India and its one of the best tablet you can get at this price tag. Now company has announced a permanent price cut for its Mi Pad which was earlier available at the price tag of Rs. 12,999 and after this price cut it will be available at Rs. 10,999.

This is not the first time company has announced price cut, earlier on the occasion of Christmas and New Year company has offered discount on this tablet, but now it has got permanent price cut.

Just to remind you specs Xiaomi Mi Pad, flaunts a 7.9-inch IPS display screen with screen resolution of 2048×1536 pixels with 326ppi and aspect ration of 4:3, the screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Under the hood its powered by a 2.2 GHz NVIDIA Tegra K1 processor with 192-core Kepler GPU along with 2GB of RAM.

At back Xiaomi Mi Pad features an 8-megapixel rear camera and has a 5-megapixel front-facing camera too, it houses a non-removable 6,700mAh battery which can provide 8 hours of music playback, 11 hours of video playback and 1,300 hours on standby mode. If we talk about software , then Xiaomi Mi pad runs on customized version of Android KitKat aka MIUI.

Xiaomi Mi Pad 2

This price cut can be seen as company might be planning to launch Mi Pad 2 in India which company has announced last year in China, which has got an 7.9-inch (2048×1536 pixels) IPS display screen with pixel density of 326ppi, under the hood it is powered by aIntel Atom x5-Z8500 quad-core chipset clocked at 2.24GHz along with Intel HD GPU and 2GB LPDDR3 RAM, it comes in two variants of internal storage, the 16GB and 64GB.

When it comes to photographic front, it features an 8-megapixel f/2.0 cameraalong with a 5-megapixel wide angle selfie camera up front, it houses an 6,190mAh battery, to which company claims is good enough for up to 648.8 hours on standby mode. For connectivity it supports Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth and USB Type-C port.

Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 comes in two variants, one runs on Android Lollipop based MIUI 7, while the other runs on Windows 10 platform.
