Last year China-based smartphone maker, Oppo has announced a selfie oriented smartphone, the Oppo A71 which company has targeted for youths. Now the company has silently launched the updated variant of it, the Oppo A71 (2018) in Pakistan and Taiwan ahead of its appearance in global markets, including India. It should be noted that it’s only a month that original Oppo A71 has got a price in India which could be a sign that Oppo is gearing up for the launch of its updated variant.
Oppo A71 (2018) comes with improved AI Beauty Recognition Technology which is based on a global image database to beautify the key areas of the face. It also allows you to get nice bokeh effect with having blur effect on your selfies.
When it comes to the specs, Oppo A71 (2018) flaunts a 5.2-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) TFT display, under the hood, it is powered by quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 SoC that is clocked at 1.8GHz, coupled with 2GB of RAM along with 16GB onboard storage which can be further expandable via microSD card up to 256GB, it has a hybrid slot.
When it comes to the camera front, Oppo A71 (2018) 13-megapixel auto-focus camera on the back with f/2.2 aperture and an LED flash, and there is a 5-megapixel camera with f/2.4 aperture at the front.
For connectivity, it supports 4G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB, and a 3.5mm headphone jack, it houses a 3000mAh battery which can easily deliver up to 15 hours of video playback and 19 hours of mixed usage on a single charge as per companies claims. It runs Android 7.1 Nougat wrapped under companies own ColorOS 3.2.

Oppo A71 (2018) has been priced at PKR 19,899 in Pakistan which is around to $180 or Rs. 11,500. Oppo A71 (2018) has been listed in Taiwan and Pakistan online stores and is available in Black and Gold color variants.
