CES 2016: Huawei GX8 With Metal Body And Finger Print Sensor Announced

One of the biggest tech event of the year, the Consumer Electronic Show is going on and many companies are announcing or launching their best of the devices. Chin based smartphone maker, Huawei has also announced one of its upcoming mid-range smartphone, the Huawei GX8 which will be launched at $349 (around Rs 23,500) and it will go on sale sometime in Q1, 2016.

 

The talking points of this smartphone is its metal build quality, it features metal body which provides sturdy look to the device, this device also comes with fingerprint scanner which is placed at the rear of the device.

When it comes to specs the Huawei GX8 flaunts an 5.5-inch full HD TFT display screen which is protected by Corning Glass 3 with a pixel density of 401ppi. Under the hood it is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 615 64-bit octa-core processor along with 2GB of RAM and Adreno 405 GPU, it also offers 16GB of internal storage which can be further expandable up to 128GB vai a microSD card.

When it comes to photography front, it features an 13-megapixel rear camera with dual-LED flash and Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), at front it has got an 5-megapixel selfie camera, it houses an 3,000mAh battery and for connectivity it has got 4G LTE support, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, and GPS. When it comes to software front, it runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop wrapped under EMUI 3.1.
