Here are some of the benchmark test results:-
- 3DMark Fire Strike – 1300
- PCMark 8 (Home) – 3013
- PCMark 8 (Work) – 2698
This laptop ships with 2GB Nvidia GeForce 930M graphic card which is a lower mid-range GPU of Nvidia based on the Maxwell architecture. It can easily handle entry level games without any hiccup, but if you want to play high-end games then you should stick yourself to medium or low settings else you will find some lags and frame drops in the game.
We played NFS Most Wanted on high settings and it performed well, then we switched to Tomb Raider 2013, again everything worked fine, no lag, no frame drop or anything in the game. Battlefield 4 worked very fine on medium setting but when we switched to high setting, we did faced frame drops.
Another thing which we noticed while playing games is that when you play games on the higher setting, battery drain very quickly.
Nvidia GeForce 930M do supports, Nvidia’s Optimus which intelligently optimizes your laptop battery, it provide high graphic setting when you need it, which extends the battery life of your device.
Final Verdict On Asus A555LF:-
The overall build quality and design of this laptop are very nice, yes we didn’t like that glossy finish but rest of the design of this laptop is nice, this laptop is priced Rs 48,999, and at the same price you have some other options in the market but Asus is providing 2 years of global warranty on this laptop which is something you are not going to find on any other laptop at this time.
All thanks to GPU decoding, you can watch 4K videos on it, but again screen resolution is very low which is another disappointment here, we wished Asus has at least provided FHD display here.
Pros:-
- 2 year global warranty
- Nice build quality
- Crisp and loud speakers
- Nice keyboard and trackpad
Cons:-
- Low screen resolution
- Battery life could be better
- Little bulky
