Recently Motorola has launched its entry level phone Moto E which has gained a lot of popularity and is selling like no tomorrow on Flipkart. Today Indian company Micromax has launched its smartphone, the Unit 2 which will take on Moto E. With Unit 2 Micromax has offered almost similar or you can say some what better specs.
If we talk about specs then, Micromax Unite 2 flaunts a 4.7-inch display WVGA display with 800×480 pixels resolution where Moto E has 4.3-inch qHD display screen with screen resolution of 960×540 pixels. Under the hood Unit 2 is powered by 1.3GHz quad-core processor paired with 1GB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage. On the other hand Moto E has lower processor, it has 1.2GHz Snapdragon 200 dual-core paired with same 1 GB of RAM and 4 GB of ROM which can be expandable.
Both phones sports a 5-megapixel rear camera but on one hand Moto E misses front camera but Micromax Unit 2 has a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. Just like Moto E, Micromax Unit 2 runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat and as like Motorola, Micromax too is guaranteeing an upgrade to the software. Micromax Unit 2 comes pre-loaded with apps like Mad which allows you to get paid for watching ads, M!Games, M!Live, Hike and Opera Mini. It supports 21 languages like English, Hindi, Gujarati, Punjabi, Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Odia, Bengali, Assamese, Marathi, Nepali, Bodo, Dogri, Konkani, Kashmiri, Maithili, Manipuri, Sanskrit and Sindhi.
