Nowadays budget oriented smartphones has acquired your most of the market share, and even companies like Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivo and Asus are more and more focusing in sub 20K bracket to attract buyers, and for this they are providing premium design along with good features and specs. This not only gives you a wide range to choose smartphone but it can also create confusions in the mid of buyers.
Recently two companies has launched new devices in Indian market, Asus has launched Zenfone 3 Max which is a power pack devices and Vivo has launched V5 which is a selfie oriented device, both devices are priced almost same, so lets see how they compete with each other.
Both Asus Zenfone 3 Max ZC553KL and Vivo V5 comes with 5.5 inch display screen, but Zenfone 3 Max flaunts a full HD display whereas Vivo V5 has got only HD display which means Zenfone 3 Max has higher pixel density which means sharp display as well.
Both devices has got Corning Glass protection on top, VivoV5 has unspecified version of Gorills Glass but Asus has got Corning Gorilla Glass 4 along with Oleophobic coating on top to make your touch more smooth.
In display section Asus Zenfone 3 Max seems to have edge over Vivo V5.
In terms of processor, Asus Zenfone 3 Max is powered by Snapdragon 430 processor clocked at 1.4Ghz whereas Vivo V5 has got Mediatek MT6750 clocked at 1.5Ghz, both are the octa-core processor and both can perform very well in gaming and multi tasking.
RAM and Memory :-
Vivo V5 comes with 4GB of RAM whereas Asus Zenfone 3 Max has got 3GB of RAM, means here Vivo V5 will be able to handle more tasks at the same time as compared with Zenfone 3 Max, but when it comes to day-to-day usage, both can give you good feedback.
In terms of memory, both devices comes with 32GB of internal storage which can be further expandable, Asus allows you to expand up to 256GB whereas Vivo V5 allows up to 128GB which I think more than enough.
Battery is one segment where clear winner is Asus Zenfone 3 Max, it comes with 4100 mAh battery which can easily last for more than two days and you can use it to charge other devices as it supports reverse charging as well.
On the other hand Vivo V5 has got 3000 mAh battery which is also good enough to give you back for around one day without any issue.
Here it seems Vivo V5 has edge over Asus Zenfone 3 Max. If you a selfie lover, then without any doubt go for Vivo V5 as it comes with 20MP front facing camera with moonlight flash which makes your selfies in dark conditions more beautiful and capture more details, whereas Asus Zenfone 3 Max has got 5MP front facing camera which can perform some basic tasks.
At the rear, Asus has got 16MP rear camera whereas Vivo V5 has 13MP, here Asus can capture better images as it has lower aperture as well, but many times we have seen Asus PixelMaster camera over exposes images which ruin the overall quality of it, but Vivo can take good images without such issues.
Final Verdict :-
If your task involves lots of calling, internet surfing or any other thing which consume battery then you should consider Asus Zenfone 3 Max as it can easily last for more than two days with any issue, on the other hand if you are a selfie lover then without any second thought grab Vivo V5.
