We have seen, in last two years Asus has focused more and more on its battery packed series, which is Asus Zenfone Max series of smartphones, we have seen company has launched original Asus Zenfone Max (Review) smartphone, then its updated version (Review), then Zenfone 3 Max (Review) and Zenfone 3S Max (Review). And now the company has expanded this series and launched an updated version of Asus Zenfone 3 Max (Review), the Asus Zenfone 4 Max.
Again, as name tell all, Asus Zenfone 4 Max has got a massive 5000mAh battery which we have seen on Zenfone 3S Max and other earlier devices. And along with that 5000mAh battery, it has got PowerMaster power saving mode, the combination of these two can kick out other smartphones from the competition.
When it comes to specs, Asus Zenfone 4 Max flaunts a 5.5 inch FHD display screen which is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass (unspecified version), under the hood, it is powered by Qualcomm MSM8937 Snapdragon 430, Octa-core 1.4 GHz Cortex-A53 along with 4GB of RAM and comes in 32GB and 64GB variant, if this is not enough for you, then you have memory expansion option as well.
When it comes to camera front, then we have dual camera setup at the back of Asus Zenfone 4 Max, the primary 13MP camera is the normal one with an 80-degree view along with PDAF for quick focus in 0.03 seconds, and the secondary camera has got 120-degree wide-angle lens which is best for capturing landscape and group shots.
At the front, you have an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with Selfie flash, 85-degree wide-angle lens and support up to 140-degree selfie panorama
For connectivity, it has got, WiFi, 4G/LTE, VoLTE, Bluetooth, GPS and Micro USB, there is a front mounted finger print scanner as well.
Like said earlier, it has a 5000mAh battery which provides up to 46 days of standby time, up to 40 hours of talk time on 3G and up to 22 hours of video playback, like any other Max series smartphone, this one too supports reverse charging which allows you to charge other devices.
When it comes to software scenario, it runs on Android v7 Nougat which is wrapped under companies own ZenUI 4.0, at this time we don’t have any information about price, we will share more when company discloses it.
