Whenever I assume this is it for Canadian smartphone company, BlackBerry they come up with a new smartphone, when their own OS, the BB OS failed, they took the support of Android so that they can gain some lost market share, and they are launching Android powered smartphones, today company and its India manufacturing and distribution partner Optiemus Infracom has launched their another Android smartphone in India, the BlackBerry KEYone which was earlier launched in MWC.

You must know that this is the last smartphone design by BlackBerry home team now on Chinese manufacturer TCL will take care of it, in a brand licensing agreement with the BlackBerry.

The main talking point of this smartphone is its Keyboard, well it should be as BlackBerry was, yes it was, popular for its keyboard. And here you will get your old QWERTY keyboard along with some modern technologies like you can scroll up and down with it, you can flick keys while typing and yes you can assign a shortcut to each key like on long press of ‘N’ it can launch Netflix app for you or on long press of ‘D’ it can launch Dropbox.

It comes with 4.5-inch 1080×1620 pixel screen with an aspect ratio of 3:2, screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4, under the hood, it is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC along with 4GB of RAM and has 64GB internal storage which can be further expandable up to 2TB via Micro SD card.

When it comes to the camera front, it has a 12-megapixel camera with large 1.55um pixels and dual LED flash, and at the front, you have an 8-megapixel front camera for selfies and video calling.

For connectivity, it supports WiFi, Bluetooth, Dual SIM, LTE, USB Type-C and GPS, it houses a 3,505mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 support. It has a fingerprint sensor which is placed on space bar, an intuitive idea

When it comes to software front, it runs on Android OS, v7.1.1 with BlackBerry security features, company has said they will be rolling out security updates on monthly basis for its Android devices, it also comes with apps like Hub, DTEK and the Blackberry launcher.
