As expected Apple has launched the next generation iPad and Apple is calling it as iPad Air. This new version of iPad is slimmer and lighter than the previous one. It has 43 percentage thinner bezel just 7.5mm thin overall, it weighs just one pound as its predecessor was 1.4 pounds. As rumors has suggested it has the same design as the iPad mini.
It runs the same Apple A7 chip which has 64 Bit architecture, which was introduced in iPhone 5S last month which comes with improvements in CPU and GPU performance. Other features are a 5-megapixel iSight camera at back and a new FaceTime camera with better low-light performance. It will be available in silver and space grey variant. It will replace the current iPad with Retina Display.
The iPad Air will be available November 1 onwards in USA and select countries starting from $499. Apple has decided to continue the iPad 2 without any price cut.
