As expected, today Yu has announced a new smartphone, the Yu Yuphoria in an event held in New Delhi. Last year company has entered into market with Yu Yureka which turned to be a super success for the company. This time we were hoping company to take this to a new level but they didnt, overall Yu mainly focused on its designed not on the internal features of Yuphoria which results in a cheaper device.

If you compare with Yureka, company has decided to strip down many features in this Yureka to make it super cheap device. Yu Yuphoria is launched at the price tag of Rs. 6,999/- whereas Yureka is available at Rs. 8999/-

Here company has used metal frame around the device which gives it a premium look, and they have also Pure Wolfson Sound by Cirrus Logic and Ambient Noise Cancellation Technology delivering superior psychoacoustics to the users.

If we talk about specs then Yu Yuphoria flaunts an 5-inch TFT IPS display with 1280×720 pixel resolution and screen is being protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3, under the hood it is powered by a 64-bit Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz along with 2GB RAM and Adreno 306 GPU, it comes with 16GB of in-built memory, which can be expandable up to 32G  via microSD card.

If we talk about camera then Yu Yuphoria sports an 8-megapixel rear shooter with f/2.2 aperture, LED flash and it supports 1080p HD video recording, for selfies it features an 5-megapixel front-facing snapper with f/2.0 aperture and an 86 degree wide angle lens. For connectivity it supports dual-SIM, LTE support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Micro USB, and GPS.

In terms of software it runs on Android Lollipop based Cyanogen OS 12 right out-of-the-box, and its houses a 2,230mAh battery with quick charging technology to which company claims can charge Yuphoria upto 65 percent in just 45 minutes. It will be available in buffed steel and champagne gold variants.
