It seems finally our wait is going to end, today China-based smartphone maker, Xiaomi has announced on its MIUI forum that they are going to launch their next budget smartphone, company is going to hold an event in New Delhi on 3rd March where Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 will be launched in India, it’s the same device which was launched in China as Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro.

Earlier this year company has announced that they will launch this device in India very soon, but at that time they didn’t announce the particular date for launch, but now they did. It should be noted that company is not going to launch MediaTek powered device which company has launched in China, instead Indian variant will be powered by Snapdragon 650 chipset.

When it comes to specs, Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 comes in full metal uni-body design, and despite being full metal body its just 8.65mm thick and weighs 164 grams which are just four grams heavier than its predecessor. Another thing which company has added in this device is fingerprint scanner which is placed below the rear camera module, Xiaomi says this sensor is ultra-fast and can unlock the device in just 0.3 seconds.

When it comes to specs, Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 flaunts an 5.5-inch full HD (1920×1080 pixels) display screen which has a dedicated Reading mode, at its heart it is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 with a 64-bit 1.8GHz hexacore CPU, Adreno 510 GPU along with 2GB of LPDDR3 RAM, and also includes 16GB internal storage, and there is 3GB RAM variant as well which has got 32GB internal storage, which can be further expandable via a microSD card.

When it comes to photography front, Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 features an 16-rear snapper megapixel snapper along with dual tone LED flash, f/2.0 aperture and Phase Detection Autofocus, at front you will find a 5-megapixel snapper for selfies, it houses a 4,000mAh battery and for connectivity it includes 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac/b/g/n (2.4 / 5GHz), Bluetooth 4.0, GPS + GLONASS and when it comes to software front, it runs on Android Lollipop-based MIUI 7.

In China it was launched at 999 Yuan/US$ 153/Rs. 10,515 approx, so you can expect it to be price below 12K in India, it will be available in Dark Grey, Silver and Champagne Gold colors.

This event is also open for MI fans who can register themselves at MIUI Forum, and first 1000 fans will be goodies from Xiaomi.
