Today Samsung has announced that they had successfully developed and tested core technology for next generation 5G (5th Generation) technology. They said that 5G will be available for general users by 2020.
Samsung said that 5G is hundreds times faster than current 4G technology and will offer speed upto 1GBPS. This new technology transmit data using 64 antenna with speeds of 1.056Gbps and frequency of 28GHz in small distances.
This means that you will be able to download movies in a second, even you can get access to HD videos and heavy games almost instantly.
NTT DoCoMo has alraedy tested 5G technology which provide speed up to 10 GBPS.
