Along with the announcement of Galaxy Note 4, Samsung has also announced a curved display smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge which comes with a additional side display screen at the right side, thus its right edge extends and curves until it reaches the back of the phone which gives it a unique look.

This side display can hold information’s like weather and times, it allows you to view these information easily when phone is laid flat on the table. When you use camera in horizontally, the shutter button and other functions appear on top, Samsung has asked the app developer to come up with their ideas to use this side display. Other functions of side display is that when phone is locked it can display time and notifications and when display is turned on it can provide one-tap access to app which we find on Home screen like flashlight, stopwatch and ruler.

If we talk about specs then Galaxy Note Edge has a 5.6-inch Quad-HD+ Super AMOLED display screen with screen resolution of 1440+160×2560 pixel with 539 ppi which makes it highest resolution display on smartphones so far, under the hood it is powered by a quad-core 2.7GHz processor along with 3 GB of RAM.

Rest of the specs are as same as of Galaxy Note 4 like At back it features a 16-megapixel auto-focus rear camera with Smart OIS with Sony IMX240 sensor, and at front it has a 3.7-megapixel front-facing camera with a f/1.9 lens. For connectivity it has Wi-Fi 802.11 a/ b/ g/ n/ ac, GPS/ Glonass, NFC, Bluetooth v 4., IR LED, USB 2.0, and MHL 3.0. It runs on Android 4.4.4 Kitkat with Touch Wiz UI on top
