Last year Samsung has launched two smartphone, Galaxy Mega 5.8 and Mega 6.3, now company is planning to launch successor of them, the Galaxy Mega 2 which is been listed on company’s Thailand website and has gone for sale in few Asian countries like Malaysia.

If we talk about specs then Samsung Galaxy Mega 2 comes with a 6-inch TFT HD 720p display screen which is a bit low considering such a big display screen, under the hood its powered by a quad-core processor (unspecified chipset) clocked at 1.5GHz along with 1.5GB of RAM and has internal storage of 16GB which can be further expanded up to 64 GB via microSD card.

At back this phablet features an 8-megapixel rear camera along with a 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera, for connectivity it has LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Micro-USB, GPS, Glonass, NFC, and Bluetooth, and as per software is concern it runs on Android 4.4 KitKat out of box.

In terms of size, phablet has dimensions of 163.6×84.9×8.6 mm, and houses a 2800mAh battery, there is no word on its talk time and stand by time. Samsung Galaxy Mega 2 is listed in Cosmic Black and Blizzard White colors.

In Malaysia Samsung Galaxy Mega 2 has been priced MYR 1,299 (around Rs. 24,500) for single SIM variant, considering last year launch and Samsung policy we expect a dual SIM variant in India anytime soon.
