Last month during the Google annual developer conference, company has announced that Oppo will be among the pioneer smartphone maker who will release Android Q Beta for its smartphones. Last month, Oppo has launched its latest flagship smartphone, the Oppo Reno in India, company has launched two variants of this smartphone, the Oppo Reno10X Zoom Edition with a 5X optical zoom and Snapdragon 855 SoC, and OPPO Reno Standard Edition which comes with Snapdragon 710 SoC but without any optical zoom.

At the launch event, company has promised that these two smartphones will be among the early devices to get the taste of Android Q, and Now, the OPPO Reno Standard edition has  become eligible for the Android Q developer preview.

Last year, Chinese manufacturers has started a trend of adopting notch alternatives to achieve full display screen, and we have seen pop-up camera, a sliding mechanism in Oppo Find X, and then more sturdy pop-up camera just like a shark-fin on Oppo Reno.

Unlike the stable version of OS on Oppo devices, the Android Q beta comes with nearly stock Android UI, instead of OPPO’s custom Android skin, ColorOS.

As this is a Beta version and company has warned that it might have bugs on it and not stable for daily use, that’s why this build is only for the developers to test their respective apps.

If you want to try this build, then you can download it from the below link and put it on your phone, first take a backup of your device and then reboot to recovery, for this first turn off your device and then press and hold the power and volume down buttons to start recovery, and then select your language and then tap on “Install from storage device” to flash this build.
