Couple of month back Samsung has announced its own Tizen OS powered Samsung Gear S, and soon after its launch Samsung has announced turn by turn navigation using HERE Maps. Now Gear S users will be able to browse internet using Opera Mini web browser.

Opera Mini on Gear S supports gesture based features Smart Page which gives users all their social updates and the latest news on one screen. Opera Mini’s Speed Dial features website shortcuts as large buttons, enabling Gear S users to reach their favorite sites in a single tap. Private browsing removes any trace of the web pages visited on the wrist-gazer’s device.

Just to recape Gear S was announced just before IFA Berlin and it has the a 2-inch Super AMOLED display screen which has 360×480 pixels resolution, under the hood its powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor along with 512MB of RAM and has 4GB of internal storage, it houses a 3,000mAh battery which can survive two days as per company’s claim, this smartwatch is IP67 certified which makes it resistant to water and dust. As said Gear S runs on Tizen and it can make calls without having to be connected with a smartphone.
