Asus has kicked off its Mobile World Congress by announcing its flagship smartphone of the year, and yes few other devices as well, the Asus Zenfone 5, don’t get confused with Asus Zenfone 5 which company has announced in 2014. Asus always use to adopt weird naming for its devices and same can be seen over here as well. Anyways, company has announced there smartphone at MWC 2018, the Asus Zenfone 5, Zenfone 5Z And Zenfone 5 Lite, here Zenfone 5 and Zenfone 5Z are very similar in terms of looks while Zenfone 5 Lite is the most affordable one.
The Asus Zenfone 5 And Zenfone 5Z has very similar features in them and the most talking feature is definitely the display, they come with 6.2 inches full HD+ edge-to-edge screen with a top-notch which houses front camera, earpiece, and sensors, which is very similar to iPhone X.
Under the hood, it is powered by Qualcomm SDM636 Snapdragon 636 which is an Octa-core processor along with 4/6GB of RAM and has 64GB of internal storage which can be further expandable via Micro SD Card.
The back houses a vertical dual camera setup of 12MP+8MP, just we had seen on leaks, primary camera sensor has a larger 1.4-micron pixel, while secondary camera allows you to take 120-degree wide-angle images and portrait mode shots, the rear camera also has PDAF, dual-tone LED flash, 4-axis OIS, 3-axis EIS, while in front you will find an 8MP camera for video calling and selfies.
For connectivity, it supports 4G, VoLTE, Dual SIM, Bluetooth 5.0, WiFi, NFC, GPS and USB Type-C. It houses a 3300 mAh battery, and when it comes to software front it runs on Android 8.0 which wrapped under ZenUI 5.
Asus Zenfone 5Z has got similar specs and features as of Asus Zenfone 5, the only difference is that Asus Zenfone 5z is powered by Qualcomm MSM8998 Snapdragon 845, which is again an octa-core CPU along with 4/68GB of RAM and 64/128/256GB of internal storage, and yes it do supports Micro SD card as well.
On the other hand, Asus Zenfone 5 Lite flaunts a 6-inch full HD+ 18:9 screen, under the hood, it is powered by Qualcomm SDM630 Snapdragon 630 along with 3/4GB of RAM and has 32/64GB of internal storage which can be further expandable via Micro SD card.
When it comes to the photographic front, it features a dual camera of 16+8MP along with dual LED flash while at the front again you have a dual camera of 20-megapixel + 8-megapixel.
For connectivity, it supports 4G, VoLTE, Dual SIM, Bluetooth 5.0, WiFi, NFC, GPS and Micro USB. It houses a 3300 mAh battery, and when it comes to software front it runs on Android 8.0 which wrapped under ZenUI 5.
