Today Motorola has launched next generations Moto G (2014), its the successor of Moto G (2013) launched last year and it was quite popular and Motorola has sold lots of units specially in India. Today announced Moto G brings new design and some new features, lets take a quick look :-

Moto-G-2014

Larger Screen Size

New Moto G comes with a larger screen size, it flaunt a screen of 5 inch as compared with the 4.7 inch which we had seen in last year’s Moto G. But despite of bigger screen there is no change in screen resolution, Motorola has kept same HD screen resolution of 1280x720p which ultimately means lower pixel density, new Moto G has 294ppi compared to 329ppi. Both phone has got Corning Gorilla Glass protection.

Processor

It doesnt mean new phone will come up with new processor or SoC, Motorola has decided to keep same Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor clocking at 1.2GHz with Adreno 305 GPU at 450MHz and 1 Gb of RAM which we had seen in last year Moto G.

Last year we had seen Moto G in two variant of 8Gb and 16GB, this year too Moto G comes in same two variant of 8GB and 16GB but this time you can memory expansion option via microSD card which was missing in last year Moto G.

Design

Motorola hasn’t changed a lot in term of design, the only noticeable you will see is that new Moto G has got two front speaker, just like we had seen in Moto E which provides clarity in sound all time.

Due to its bigger display, new Moto E is taller and heavier as compared with last year. Moto G (2013) was 66mm x 130 at 143g and the new one is 70.7mm x 141.5mm and 149g.

Camera

Motorola has upgraded the camera of Moto G over the year, new Moto G comes with an 8 megapixel rear snapper along with LED flash, autofocus and an f/2.0 aperture lens while last year’s Moto G has 5-megapixel snapper with f/2.4, it means new Moto G will perform better under low light conditions.

Front camera also been upgraded for selfie lovers, new Moto G comes with a 2 megapixel front facing camera while last year we have 1.3 megapixel camera.

Price

Last year Motorola has launched Moto G at Rs. 13,999 for 16GB while the new Moto G which has more features and specification’s has been priced Rs. 12,999 for same 16GB variant.
