Within few hours Apple will start hosting its one of the biggest launch event where it will launch iPhone 6, iWatch or if we are lucky then we could see iPad Air 2 as well, later tonight (as per Indian time) Apple will be hosting an event at Flint Center for the Performing Arts in Cupertino, its the same venue where Apple’s co-founder launched first iPhone back in 2007.

Apple has also uploaded a page on its website which shows countdown for the time left to start the event, if you are not in Flint Center for the Performing Arts in Cupertino then you can use this page and live stream iPhone 6 launch event. But if you are on Windows then you are out of luck as Apple has said that you will need Safari 5.1.10 or later on OS X v10.6.8 or later; Safari on iOS 6.0 or later, Streaming via Apple TV requires second- or third-generation Apple TV with software 6.2 or later to watch this live streaming.

Earlier Windows users were able to watch live streaming via QuickTime but this it seems Apple dont want Windows users to watch this event live.

If you are a Windows users and still want to watch this event then here is a work around which lets you watch iPhone 6 event live mentioned by a Reddit user, all you requires VLC media player which you can download from Here.

VLC-Open-Network-Stream-iPhone-6-Event

Now navigate to Media -> Open Network Stream and paste following url into it :-

Now click play button and enjoy your live streaming.

[*] Reddit user has said that this is not the actual URL, actual URL will be available few minutes before event starts, so stay tuned to this page for actual URL.

Update :- Streaming URL has been updated and it will work once event starts, if you try before event then it will give error so wait for event to start.

Another workaround :-

If above method doesnt work for you then here is another method which might work work for you, as Apple has asked you to be on Apple device if you want to watch this live event and if you are on Windows then you can download a User Agent Switcher for your web browser (Chrome and Firefox), once you had downloaded and installed just change your browsers user agent to Safari on Mac or Safari on iPad.

User-Agent-Switcher-Chrome

Note :- This is not a full proof method as its been tested only once in last Apple WWDC and it worked, if Apple has fixed this glitch from their end then you will be out of luck.
