The price of the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 in different markets has been dropped, no thanks to the leaked info of the Galaxy Note 3. Several US-based electronic stores brought down the price of the 5.55-inch South Korean smartphone by US$100 because people are now more excited about the Note 3.

Last month, news about the release of the latest and third Samsung Note came out, saying it will be launched at the IFA Event in Berlin, Germany in September. Before the month ended, the news was confirmed by Samsung Chief Executive JK Shin. A YouTube entry about the phone has also been spreading since the second week of May. Samsung Galaxy Note 3 will sport a larger AMOLED full HD display screen (5.9 inches) with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, a choice of 16GB, 32GB or 64GB of built in storage, and will run on Android Jelly Bean.

The IFA is one of the world’s leading trade shows for consumer electronics and Samsung made the right choice of picking Germany as the first to see Galaxy Note 3.
