As expected, later today Huawei has announced a new smartphone under its Honor branding, the Huawei Honor 8 in India, company has already announced this smartphone in home country, US and European market, and today it made out its way to the Indian market as well. This smartphone has been priced Rs. 29,999 which is very nice and with this aggressive pricing, company expecting Honor 8 to carry forward the success of last year launched Honor 7.

This all new Huawei Honor 8 comes with new specs and design, it has got 2.5D curved glass at back and at the front which makes this device more premium in look, and to add more charm, there is a metal frame all across the device which adds more value to it.

Another talking point of this device is the dual-camera setup just like we have seen on the flagship device, the Huawei P9 from the company, Honor 8 has also got the dual camera with an RGB sensor and a monochrome sensor.

At the rear you will find two 12MP camera along with LED flash, it has also got hybrid auto-focus, and laser autofocus, the RGB sensor allows you to capture more rich colors while the monochrome sensor captures more light to it, and the result of the dual camera will be crispier and sharp image.

There is a fingerprint sensor at back as well which do other tasks as well rather than just unlocking your device, like it can turn on LED light on the single press or launch an app on double tap and so on.

When it comes to the rest of the specs, we have a 5.2-inch full HD (1080p) display covered which is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass, under the hood, it is powered by Huawei’s Kirin 950 octa-core processor built on 16nm architecture, along with 4GB of RAM and 32GB onboard storage, you can expand it memory up to 256GB via micro SD card, it has hybrid slot.

Apart from the dual camera at the rear, at the front you will find an 8-megapixel front-facing camera of aperture f/2.4 for selfies and video calling, it houses a 3,000mAh battery with fast charging technology, which can charge this device from 0-47 percent in 30 minutes.

For connectivity, it supports LTE with VoLTE support, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, NFC, Bluetooth, GPS, USB Type-C and IR blaster which lets you control your home appliances like TV, ACs and so on. And when it comes to the software front, it runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow 6.0 wrapped under Huawei’s EMUI 4.1.
