Six months ago, HTC has launched Desire 816G which was the stripped down variant of Desire 816, this phone turns to be a successful device for the company and company was able to sell out good number of units of it. Now after six months company has decided to re-launch this device by upgrading some of its features, company has also increased its price also which is obvious, original Desire 816G was launched at Rs 18,990 now this new version is launched at Rs. 19,990.

In terms of up-gradation, HTC has upgraded its processor, where original Desire 816G was powered by 1.3GHz MediaTek quad-core processor whereas this new Desire 816G is powered by 1.7GHz octa-core processor, company has bumped internal memory from 8GB to 16GB.

Rest of the specs remains the same like 5.5-inch 720p display screen, expandable memory via microSD card, at back you will have a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera for selfie, and it houses a 2,600mAh battery.

For connectivity it has dual-SIM, 3G, Wi-Fi, NFC, Bluetooth and GPS/AGPS, and as per software is concern it runs on Android’s 4.4.2 KitKat version out-of-the-box, running HTC Sense UI on top of it.
