Last month Flipkart has exclusively launched dual screen smartphone, YotaPhone. Flipkart initially launched it for Rs 23,499 but it seems this unique smartphone fails to attract buyers and that’s why Flipkart has slashed its price by 24% or Rs. 5,500 and YotaPhone is now available for Rs 17,999/-. Flipkart is also offering free pre-selected eBooks worth Rs 2,199 with the device. Its available in White and Black variants.

Just to remind specs, YotaPhone flaunts a 4.3 inch primary display screen with 720p screen resolution and a 4.3 inch secondary electronic paper display with 360×640 pixels screen resolution. It is powered by a dual-core processor clocked at 1.7GHz paired with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of on-board storage.

On photography front YotaPhone has an 13 megapixel primary camera with autofocus and LED, and a 1 megapixel front camera. For connectivity front it includes Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS/AGPS and 3G and for sensors it has Accelerometer, compass, gyroscope, proximity and ambient light sensor.

As per software front, YotoaPhone is equipped with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean version along with special YotaPhone gestures and Put2Back applications for the back/secondary screen.

The main USP of this phone is its dual screen, one has LCD display screen and a eInk secondary display screen, in this secondary screen will remain always on and it shows notifications, weather, social media updates, calendar reminders, and you can used this screen to read e-books.
