In the ongoing CES Asus has announced a new series of Windows based 2-in-1 laptops, this Transformer Book Chi series includes three Windows based detachables T300 Chi, T100 Chi and the T90 Chi laptops. This series is powered by up to Intel Core M processors, with advanced fanless design for silent operation and class-leading performance. These laptops comes with a magnetic hinge which uses powerful neodymium, the world’s most powerful magnetic material which ensure secure, reliable and fuss-free docking, every time.

Asus-Transformer Book Chi T300

Asus Transformer Book T300 Chi comes with an 12.5 inch IPS screen with two choices of display resolution- 2560 x 1440 pixels and 1920 x 1080, it can be docked into a keyboard and converted into a laptop, T300 Chi measures just 1.65cm even when docked with keyboard, which is even thinner than an Apple Macbook Air. For connectivity front it has Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and USB. It comes in two variants of 64 GB and 128 GB internal storage. At front it has a 2MP front camera which can record HD videos.

Asus-Transformer Book Chi T100

Both Asus Transformer Book T100 Chi & T90 Chi are powered by 1.46 GHz Intel Atom Z3775 processor (2MB-Cache, 4-Core, 4-Thread, 2.3 GHz Burst Frequency) and run on Windows 8.1 operating system. T100 Chi is comes with 10.1 inch of display with 1920 x 1200 pixel resolution and is just 7.2 mm thin, on the other hand T90 Chi features an 8.9 inch screen with 1280 x 800 pixels resolution, both T90 Chi and T100 Chi comes with 32GB or 64GB of eMMC storage.

Availability of these devices are not known, but Asus has revealed their pricing which are as follows :-

  • Asus Transformer Book T90: $300
  • Asus Transformer Book T100: $400
  • Asus Transformer Book T300: $699 and $799 (as per screen resolution)
