Earlier this month Asus has announced that they will be launching its latest smartphone, the Zenfone 2 in India on 23rd of April which was originally announced back in Consumer Electronic Show 2015 in the month of January. Zenfone 2 comes in five variants which differs in the term of its screen, RAM, and processor but the confusing part is that they all are called Zenfone 2 which create a hell of confusion in the mind of users, yes there is a thing which tells which variant has got what, its the model number, but a normal user never remember the model number of the device rather they just recall device from its name only.

Now Asus has announced that they will be launching three variants of Zenfone 2 in India by the end of this month, Asus is going to launch ZE500CL, ZE550ML and high-end ZE551ML, all carries almost same specs if we leave display, RAM and SoC part, however ZE500CL which is the lowest among three and it differs a lot from other two.

Asus has also announced that all these three variants will support Indian LTE bands which means you will be able enjoy high speed internet on these devices. As told earlier, Asus is calling all these phone’s as Zenfone 2 and there is no way to find which phone has got what unless and until you know their respective model number and know what that model has got.

Here we will try to explain you about the specs and feature’s of these three device, the ZE500CL, ZE550ML and high-end ZE551ML so that you can set your mind and know which device you could buy.

Lets start with the lowest one which differs a lot from other two, Asus Zenfone 2 ZE500CL flaunts an 5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) display screen which is being protected by Corning gorilla 3 protection, under the hood it is powered by dual-core Intel Atom Z2560 processor which clocked at 1.6 GHz along with 2GB RAM and also includes 16GB of internal memory which can be further expandable memory up to 64GB via micro SD.

As per photographic front it has got an 8MP auto-focus rear shooter with LED flah and for selfies it has an 2MP front facing camera as well. For connectivity it supports 4G LTE / 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and Micro USB. As per software is concern, it runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop wrapped under companies ZenUI, it houses a 2500 mAh battery.

Now lets talk about Ze550Ml and Ze551ML, both smartphone’s differs a bit and has lots of similar specs, so lets first talk about what are similar in both of them, both of them has got 13MP rear camera with LED flash, f/2.0 aperture and Real Tone flash, at front they have got 5MP front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture, for connectivity they supports Dual SIM, 4G LTE / 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and Micro USB, runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop wrapped under ZenUI and houses 3000 mAh battery.

Okay so you know what is similar in both of them, now pay little attention as its the hard part to know the difference among them, the Asus Zenfone 2 ZE550ML comes with a 5.5 inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) display screen which is being protected by Corning gorilla glass 3 protection, while the Asus Zenfone 2 ZE551ML comes with 5.5 inch FHD (1980 x 1080 pixels) display screen which is being protected by Corning gorilla glass 3 protection.

Now comes the under the hood difference, Asus Zenfone 2 ZE550ML is powered by 1.8GHz quad-core Intel Atom Z3560 with PowerVR G6430 GPU and 2GB RAM and also includes 16GB of internal memory which can be further expandable up to 64GB via micro SD.

Things are little tricky for Asus Zenfone 2 ZE551ML, it further comes in two variants which differs in terms of processor and RAM, it is powered by 1.8GHz quad-core Intel Atom Z3560 / 2.3GHz quad-core Intel Atom Z3580 processor with PowerVR G6430 GPU along with 2GB/4GB RAM and also includes 16GB/32GB/64GB internal memory options which can be firther expandable up to 64GB via micro SD.

So in total we might see four Zenfone 2 on 23rd April, the ZE500CL, ZE550ML and two variants of ZE551ML. Price of Zenfone 2 are not know at this time, we are going to cover this event live, so stay tuned with us and we will let you know all the details as soon as we get them.
