Build And Design Of Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G :-

In terms of build and design, 4G variant has no difference if we compare it with its sibling, 3G variant. The front of this device is mostly taken by 5.5 inch HD display screen, it has black glass with slightly plastic raised from all corners, you will find thick bezels around the screen which makes this device more big and bulky, just below display screen you have nice three capacitive touch button with backlit support which helps you in dark room.

Again this device too comes with  glossy back panel which will ultimately invites your finger prints and scratches very easily so do get a back cover once you buy this device, at back you will also find an 13MP primary camera with LED flash, at bottom you have MI branding embedded in silver and speaker grill. Back panel is slippery, thanks to its glossy finish but you have curved edges which gives better grip to the device.

To get access to your SIM/microSD card slot and battery you have to remove your back panel and for this you have to pull back panel from Micro USB slot, as soon as you remove your back panel you will see your first difference among 3G and 4G variant. If you remember 3G variant was the dual SIM device but this 4 variant is single SIM variant and you can insert your LTE enabled SIM to it, just next to SIM slot you have microSD card slot which allows you to expand memory up to 64GB. Software And UI of Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G :-

Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G runs on MIUI v5 which is based on Android 4.4.2, our sources says that within a month or two Xiaomi is going to roll out MIUI v6. I dont think we need to go in details of this MIUI as we had already covered it in our earlier review. All we can say is that it has a clean UI which looks cool and nice. This UI do comes with so useful features like Lite Mode in which you will get bigger icons which is good for older persons or for those who have visibility problem, it also comes with guest mode in which some of the settings, messages, notes, photos and call logs will be disabled, so that when you hand over to someone you don’t have to worry about that person having eye on your personal data.

Camera Of Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G :-

Again, Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G comes with the same 13MP autofocus camera with LED flash which we had seen on 3G variant. It focus very quickly and images captured in daylight are good with great details in it, again images captured in low light conditions has some noise in it and its because it missess illuminated sensors. At front it comes with 5MP front facing camera which is an fixed focus camera which gives nice feedback in terms of selfies.

UI of camera remains the same which we had seen in earlier Xiaomi devices. You can use camera in simple mode which adjusted best setting according to the environment for you or you can switch to advance mode in which you will get control over settings and can change them manually.

Battery of Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G :-

Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G too comes with 3100 mAh battery which can be removed. In our test battery performed very well and in our heavy usage it lasted for more than 32 hours. Thanks to its fast charged which comes in the box it charges this device quickly.

Call quality On Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G :-

In our test we never faced any call drop or any other problem related with calling, we were able to make calls both when we were indoor and outdoor.

4G On Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G :-

Airtel has already launched 4G in many parts of the country and very soon its going to roll out LTE services in New Delhi also. Its universal truth that 4G is the future but its also very true that 4G service is not going to be cheap anytime soon and anyone who can afford 4G will go for flagship devices. But getting a 4G device by just spending Rs. 1000 more is not a bad deal at all.

Performance of Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G :-

Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G is powered by quad-core Qualcomm MSM8928 Snapdragon 400 processor clocked at 1.6GHz along with 2GB of RAM and Adreno 305 and to test we played some heavy games like Frontline Commando, Blood and Glory and Asphalt 8.

All games were smooth with no lag or frame drop, while playing Asphalt 8 frame rate did dropped to 25fps but its not a big deal, in games all details were quite sharp and good. All sensors were working quite nice.

Here’s our some benchmark test results :-

AnTuTu Benchmark :- 22366

Multi Touch Points :- 10

NeNaMark 2 :- 57.4fps

As you can see that scores are less if we compare it with Redmi Note 3G variants but its still one of the best scores at the given price tag. This Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G has Adreno GPU which is less powerful than Mali GPU, but still you can play HD games and view movies. It has IPS display screen which provides good viewing angles which is very good if like to view movies or videos on your device.

Final Verdict On Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G :-

Its true that in near future we are not going to see tariffs of 4G coming down but getting a 4G enabled device by just spending Rs. 1K more bucks is not a bad deal. Performance of this device is very good, you can play HD games, videos and do multi tasking without any issue. Due to some trademark case between Xiaomi and Ericsson, as of now 3G variant is not available in India so you can always go with Xiaomi Redmi 4G which is available on Flipkart via flash sale and also on Airtel stores.
