There is a buzz from a very long time that Samsung is planning to launch a Tizen-powered smartphone, and today Samsung has finally took the wraps off its first smartphone which will run on Tizen, the Samsung Z.

If we talk about specs, the Samsung Z flaunts a 4.9 inch Super AMOLED display and under the hood its powered by a 2.3GHz quad-core processor which supports 2D and 3D graphics which will result is better web surfing experience, it also has fingerprint scanner 3D graphics.

Samsung claims its new OS, Tizen will reduce boot times, it will give more efficient multitasking and has an Ultra Power Saving Mode which is very much similar of Galaxy S5, this allows you increasing battery’s juice by shutting down all but the very minimal functions.

Samsung has said that this Tizen powered device will go on sale in Russia in Q3 and then will make its way to other markets soon to follow. Samsung hasn’t reveled pricing of the device.

Samsung is world biggest Android device maker but from few time they are developing their own mobile OS which will give them better control and Samsung will be less reliable on Google. The Samsung Z will be available in black and gold.
