As expected Samsung has announced its latest flagship devices, the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge in India, both smartphones has been announced in an event held in New Delhi, these smartphone’s were announced couple of weeks back in Mobile World Congress 2015. Samsung has very aggressively priced both of the smartphone’s, if we talk about price then Samsung Galaxy S6 will be available at Rs. 49,9000 (32GB), Rs. 55900 (64GB), and Rs. 61,900 (128GB) whereas Galaxy S6 Edge for Rs. 58,900 (32GB), Rs. 64,900 (64GB), and Rs. 70,900 (128GB).

If we talk about specs then, Samsung Galaxy S6 flaunts an 5.1-inch Super AMOLED QHD (2560×1440 pixels) display screen with a pixel density of 577ppi, under the hood it is powered by its own Exynos 7420 octa-core (2.1GHz quad-core+1.5GHz quad-core) chipset paired with 3G of RAM, it comes comes with 32GB, 64GB and 128GB storage options. Samsung is also offering 115GB of Microsoft OneDrive storage for 2 years.

Galaxy S6 has a layer of Gorilla Glass 4 on both the front and the rear of the device, Samsung Galaxy S6 home button has been redesigned and underneath it sits the new fingerprint sensor. Samsung Galaxy S6 also supports NFC and MST based mobile payments which has been certified by Visa, MasterCard and the company has partnered with few banks like American Express, Citi, JPMorgan Chase, US Bank and Bank of America to provide service.

If we talk about photography front then its features an 16-megapixel rear camera with optical image stabilization and LED flash which cn also record 4K videos, at front it has got a 5-megapixel camera for selfie lovers, it also included is a 2,550mAh battery with Ultra Power Saving Mode.

Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.1, NFC, IR Remote, USB 2.0 and Cat.6 LTE, and on the software front, it runs on Android 5.0.2 Lollipop out-of-the-box wrapped under latest TouchWiz UI.

On the other hand, design language and built quality on Galaxy S6 Egde remains almost the same of Galaxy S6, the main difference among both is the curved display screen, however screen size and screen resolution remains the same – 5.1-inch QHD display screen with 2560×1440 pixels resolution with pixel density of 576 pixels per inch.

This curved display can access quick contacts, notifications and information from certain applications, apart from these there is nothing more about curved display as of now.
