Back in 2012 Samsung has announced Galaxy Camera which is an digital camera running on Android Jelly Bean, now today after more than a year Samsung has announced its successor, the Samsung Galaxy Camera 2 which will unveil it at CES next week.

As per specs, the Galaxy Camera 2 flaunts same display, means of 4.8 inch LCDdisplay screen with 720p screen resolution means 306 ppi. It got increment in powere, now its powered by a 1.6 GHz quad-core processor along with 2GB of RAM as compared to a 1.4 GHz quad-core processor with 1GB of RAM in predecessor.

USP of this camera will be 16.3 megapixel camera with 21x optical zoom, Optical Image Stabilization and BSI CMOS sensor. It comes with 8 GB of internal storage which can be expandable to up to 64GB via microSD card, it houses 2,000 mAh battery.

This time Samsung has dumped SIM support and now its no longer support SIM slot which means now it wont support 3G/ LTE and but now it comes with NFC, other connectivity options are Wi-Fi, GPS and Bluetooth 4.0. As per software Samsung Galaxy Camera 2 runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean wrapped with Samsung’s TouchWiz UI.

There is no information about its priceing yet but we hope we could get some more information on its CES launch.
