Just a week ahead of IFA Berlin to kick off, Samsung has took wrap off from its upcoming Smartwatch, the Samsung Gear S which will be powered by Samsung’s own in-houses OS, Tizen. Gear S is a 3G supported smartwatch which doesnt need to be connected to any phone.

If we talk about specs, the Samsung Gear S features a 2-inch Super AMOLED display screen which has 360×480 pixels resolution, under the hood its powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor along with 512MB of RAM and has 4GB of internal storage, it houses a 3,000mAh battery which can survive two days as per company’s claim, this smartwatch is IP67 certified which makes it resistant to water and dust. As said Gear S runs on Tizen and it can make calls without having to be connected with a smartphone.

Samsung has also unveiled Gear Circle headset which is a pair of Bluetooth headsets which allow users to receive calls, listen to music and control phone with voice commands.
