Today Panasonic India has launched its latest quad-core android smartphone, Panasonic P81 at Rs. 18,990 and and will be available from today itself.

If we talk about specs then, Panasonic P81 flaunts a 5.5-inch HD 720p display screen, under hood its powered by a MediaTek true octa-core chipset clocked at 1.7GHz along with 1 GB of RAM and has 8GB of internal storage which can be expandable via microSD card.

At back its features a 13-megapixel rear snapper which can record 1080p videos at 30fps and has a 2-megapixel front facing camera. For connectivity it has dual-SIM, 3G (HSPA+) support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and AGPS. If we talk about software front then it runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and will be upgradeable to 4.4 KitKat, however company hasn’t mentioned any timeline when the update will come. Panasonic P81 is powered by a 2500mAh battery.

The company is givingaway freebies worth Rs. 11,900 which includes several apps worth Rs 9,900 preloaded in the phone and accessories (such as a flip cover with screen guard) worth Rs 2,000.

At this price and specs Panasonic P81 will compete with Micromax Canvas Knight A350 and Intex Aqua Octa, which too has octa-core processors.
