Earlier this year Panasonic has introduced a new series of smartphone, the Eluga and launched two smartphone’s in this series, the Eluga U and the Eluga A. Today Panasonic has launched a new smartphone in its Eluga series, the Eluga S which is a selfie focused smartphone and comes with 5MP front facing camera and it is priced at Rs 11,190, which will be available later this month. This smartphone comes with  5-megapixel front facing camera which comes with gesture feature called ‘Blink Play’, in which the camera will create a three-second countdown when you blink your eyes.

If we talk about specifications, the Panasonic Eluga S features a 5-inch HD IPS display screen with screen resolution of 1280×720 pixels, under the hood it is powered by a MediaTek octa-core processor clocked at 1.4GHz along with 1GB of RAM and has 8GB of internal storage which can be further expanded up to 32GB via a microSD card.

On photography front Panasonic Eluga S features an 8-megapixel rear camera which can shoot videos at 1080p as well, at front it has a 5MP front facing camera as told earlier, houses a 2,100mAh battery and for connectivity it has 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Micro USB and GPS, as per software front it runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat.

At this price point it will be up against other selfie-focused smartphones like the Karbonn Titanium S19, and the Lava Iris X5 among others. Their is Sony’s Xperia C3 also but its not in this price bracket.
