If we believe on latest news then OnePlus One will be shipped with CyanogenMod but it will not receive any further updates in the form of continued updates, which means you have to download and flash ROMs, like latest updated ROM to get updated software.

Back in October OnePlus has released its 38R update which includes SAR values in settings, its been seen as important thing as all vendor’s need to disclose SAR values in India and then within few weeks Cyanogen announced that it is going to give exclusively rights to Micromax to use this OS in India as Micromax has recently announced YU brand.

Recently OnePlus has also announced that company is looking for its in-house OS which will be based on Android and it might hit market by the end of February. This software will be based on Android Lollipop, and company has also announce that this software will receive up to 2 years of software updates.
