Last year Google has unveiled its latest Android flavor, the Android Lollipop which comes with lots of enhancement in terms of security and specially in design, and from the date of release of AOSP several custom ROM developers has started working on it. OnePlus One is one of the few device which comes with CyanogenMod right out of the box. Earlier OnePlus has said that its flagship killer device, the OnePlus One will get Android Lollipop based CM12S update, company has said that update will be released by 31 March, but that deadline was missed by the company.
Earlier OnePlus is supposed to launch its home made OxygenOS on 27 March, company has missed both deadlines and OnePlus has blamed certification process for this delay. OnePlus has already released OxygenOS update for the users and interested users can download and install it.
On Twitter OnePlus co-founder, Carl Pei, has replied to a user which stated ‘CM12S update for the OnePlus One has already passed company’s certification process and roll out is expected to begin within next few days’.
.@jorgepenteado CM12s just passed certification today. Thanks for the patience, expect rollout in the next few days.
Last month Mr. Pei has also said that India users will get CM12S update over-the-air and you dont have to get your hands dirty with flashing ROM, however the future of Cyanogen OS for Indian OnePlus users doesnt seems bright as in past we have seen OnePlus and Micromax subsidiary, YU battling in court as Cyanogen Inc has passed exclusive right to the YU for Indian region.
