Acer has just kick off its MWC campaign by announcing an affordable Windows Phone 8.1 powered device, the Acer Liquid M220, Acer has launched couple of Windows Phone devices earlier but then company has kept its focus on Android devices but it seems company is again going back to WP market. This is an affordable WP device which is priced $88 which is roughly Rs 5,420 approximately.

If we talk about specs then, the Liquid M220 flaunts an 4-inch WVGA display screen with screen resolution of 480×800 pixels, under the hood it is powered by a dual-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz with just 512MB of RAM, it also includes 4GB of internal storage which can be further expandable via a microSD card.

As per the photographic front it features an 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and has a 2MP front facing camera as well, it houses an 1,300mAh battery, for connectivity it has dual-SIM card slot, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Micro USB and GPS, and as per software front, Acer Liquid M220 runs on Windows Phone 8.1, and it is interesting to note that despite of just the 512MB of RAM, company has promised an upgrade to Windows 10.

Acer Liquid M220 will be available in Europe, the Middle East and Africa or EMEA markets by the start of April in two color variants of Mystic Black and Pure White, and then it will rolled out to the other parts of the globe.

At this price tag and spece Acer Liquid M220 will compete against Microsoft Lumia 435 which was just launched un Indian market at the price tag of Rs. 5,999/-
