Today Micromax announced a new tablet under its Canvas sub brand, the Canvas Tabby which is company’s first tablet which is targeted for kids and with this company entered into kids edutainment segment. Tablet comes with a dual use mode for both Parent and Kids, which makes it a good family smart device as same device can be accesssed by both parents and children for their own respective works. It  will be available from June 22nd exclusively on Flipkart for a period of 3 weeks and will subsequently be available for sale in all online and retail channels

In the parent-use mode, the Canvas Tabby can be used as a fully-functional, high performance Android Tablet to watch movies, check email, web surfing and this tablet can be transform into the perfect technology tool to help kids touch and learn; explore and grow through great content backed by parental control.

Tabby Kid’s use mode is powered by EddyPaddy, developed by kids-content company Educren, and is a kid-safe zone with over a 100 originally designed, pre-loaded applications and access to over 500 carefully curated videos under 3 areas – Education, Creativity and Entertainment.

If we talk about specs then it flaunts an 7 inch display screen, under the hood it is powered by 1.3GHz processor along with 1GB of RAM and has 8GB of internal storage, at back it has 2MP rear camera and an VGA front facing camera, for connectivity it do support Bluetooth, WiFi, GPS and Micro USB, in terms of software it runs on Android 4.4.4.
