Today Xiaomi is all set to make its debut entry to the biggest smartphone fair, the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, we all know what company is going to do in this event. Xiaomi is all set to launch long-rumored flagship smartphone, the Xiaomi Mi 5 which is in the news for a couple of months, and we all had come across of various leaks and rumors about this device.
Xiaomi Mi 5 event will kick off at 9 AM CET or 1:30 PM IST, you can view the event live using the below-embedded section, users across the globe will be able to view live event using the same.
Thanks to the previous leaks which gave us a very fair idea what we are going to see in the device, even some of the Xiaomi executives has also shared some news about the device which showed its camera quality. Earlier leaks have suggested that Xiaomi could launch multiple versions of the device, in metal and glass.
As of now we know that Xiaomi Mi 5 will come in two variants, one will have the metal frame with glass at front and back of the device with 5.2-inch full HD. Other will be the more premium variant which will have 5.5-inch QHD (1440x2560pixels) display and it will have the full metal body which will provide more premium look to the smartphone. Its also said that Xiaomi Mi 5 will have a physical home button with the smallest and fastest fingerprint scanner on it.
Xiaomi Mi 5 will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 SoC along with Adreno 530 GPU, the glass variant is supposed to have 3GB of RAM and 32GB of on-board storage while metal variant will have 4GB of RAM and 64GB on-board storage, as of now there is no word on whether it will support microSD card slot or not.
It houses 3,600mAh battery, IR Blaster, fingerprint scanner, connectivity options like dual-SIM card slots, 4G LTE support, and NFC, and company might also unveil a Windows Phone 10 variant of the same.
Some analyst has expected that Xiaomi is going to launch some other products as well along side of Xiaomi Mi 5, like it could be Xiaomi drone or a new Mi Water purifier.
