Last night when Apple has announced its iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus they also announced that these two new smartphones will support up to 20 LTE bands which makes iPhone users to roam around the world and use LTE network without any issue. Apple has also announced that iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus will support VoLTE (Voice over LTE) and also said both iPhone will support download speeds up to 150 Mbps.

iPhone-6-LTE-Supports

Apple is likely to launch A1586 (iPhone 6) and A1524 (iPhone 6 Plus) models in Europe and in Asia including India as it support FDD-LTE (Frequency Division Duplexing LTE)and TD-LTE (Time-Division LTE). These iPhone 6 versions supports following LTE bands :-

  • Band 1 equivalent 2100 MHz
  • Band 2 equivalent 1900 MHz
  • Band 3 equivalent 1800 MHz
  • Band 4 equivalent AWS
  • Band 5 equivalent 850 MHz
  • Band 7 equivalent 2600 MHz
  • Band 8 equivalent 900 MHz
  • Band 13 equivalent 700c MHz
  • Band 17 equivalent 700b MHz
  • Band 18 equivalent 800 MHz
  • Band 19 equivalent 800 MHz
  • Band 20 equivalent 800 DD
  • Band 25 equivalent 1900 MHz
  • Band 26 equivalent 800 MHz
  • Band 28 equivalent 700 APT MHz

In India at this time AirTel is providing TD-FTE in some parts at Band 40, so we might be going to see this version of iPhone 6 in India which will be launched next month.

If we talk about USA then then will be getting A1549 (iPhone 6) and A1522 (iPhone 6 Plus) versions of iPhone’s and they support 16 LTE bands which are :-
