It seems LG want to stay ahead in the race of smartwatch’s, that’s why it has more smartwatch in its portfolio than any other company has as of now, last year company has announced two smartwatch’s, the LG G Watch and LG G Watch R, now today in MWC, LG has announced two more smartwatch Android Wear-powered LG Watch Urbane, and webOS-powered LG Watch Urbane LTE which were already announced by company few days ago.

LG Watch Urbane LTE

LG Watch Urbane LTE is the one which is going to catch everyone’s eye and the reason behind it is its platform on which its running on, LG Watch Urbane LTE runs on webOS. In past we have seen LG has used its webOS in its Smart TVs and on Palm’s smartwatch.

If we talk about specs then, the LG Watch Urbane LTE flaunts an 1.3-inch plastic OLED display screen with screen resolution of 320×320 pixels with pixel density of 245ppi, under the hood it is powered by a Snapdragon 400 processor clocked at 1.2GHz , it has got 1GB of RAM and has got 4GB of internal storage, this device is water and dust resistance, and houses 700mAh battery.

The design language of Watch Urbane is very similar to of LG G Watch R, it features metal frame, it comes with some features which we havnt seen in Android Wear devices like three physical buttons, first button gives access to Quick Settings, center button allows you to switch between the watch face and installed apps and the bottom one functions as a back button and if you long press it will place an emergency call.

LG Watch Urbane LTE is the first smartwatch to support LTE,  this smartwatch can also make LTE calls without the need of mobile phone, it can also share your GPS locations and translate speech for you, after Apple Watch, this will be the one of the first device to support NFC-based mobile payments as well.

It also comes with an interesting features, walkie-talkie, which lets users make conversations with multiple people without requiring a smartphone.

The launch of webOS based smartphone clearly sends an message to Google that its partner’s arent happy with this platform and same message has been given by LG vice president Chris Yie when he said “With Android Wear, we cannot satisfy our customers 100 percent,”

However for Android lover’s, LG has announced an Android Wear variant as well which is called LG Watch Urbane, there is no LTE support for this one and its main focus is on luxury and style, the non-LTE version is thinner and much lighter and company has focused on its materials and design.
