Last week LG’s latest flagship smartphone, the LG G5 went on pre-booking and users were able to pre-order one device for themselves, today company has officially announced this device and it will be available at Rs. 52, 990. It’s little late for LG, as all of other manufacturers has launched their flagship smartphones like Samsung Galaxy S7, HTC 10 and so on.

LG has announced a couple of offers with LG G5 like, there is an exchange offer of up to Rs 15,000, which will bring the price down to Rs 37,989 you will also get a free battery and charging cradle worth of Rs 3,499, and can also go for no cost EMI from Bajaj Finserv. If you have pre-booked this device, then you are enitled for free LG Cam Plus companion device, priced Rs 6,000.

LG has introduced modular design in this smartphone. Earlier many companies attempted to do this, and the latest company is Google who is working on its Project Ara but none of the devices were able to make their way to mainstream market as of now.

Smartphone’s bottom bezel can be unlatched and allows you to insert modular components to the device like LG Cam Plus which adds 1,100mAh battery and hardware shutter key, a video button, and zoom dial, there is Bang & Olufsen DAC for richer audio quality experience, company has said they will open this standard for the third party as well.

When it comes to specs, LG G5 flaunts a 5.3-inch QHD display (2560x1440pixels) with a pixel density of 554ppi, under the hood it is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 SoC paired with 4GB of RAM, there is 32GB of onboard storage which can be further expandable via microSD card.

For photography, LG G5 features dual-cameras at the back – 16-megapixel with 78-degree lens and other is an 8-megapixel with 135-degree wide angle lens. LG has said these cameras will help users to capture larger groups, tall buildings, and landscapes. For selfie lovers, there is an 8-megapixel front-facing camera.

For connectivity, it features Bluetooth 4.2, NFC, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, and USB Type-C 2.0 port, for software scenario, it runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS wrapped under LG’s custom UI. The G5 will be available in four different colors, silver, gold, and titan.
