It seems Gionee is close to launching a new smartphone which will be powered by a powerful battery of 5000mAh, the Gionee Marathon M3 which is the successor to the Marathon M2 launched last year, Gionee is still to make this smartphone official but it is already available on e-commerce website at Rs. 13,499.

If we talk about specs then Gionee Marathon M3 flaunts a 5-inch IPS One Glass Solution (OGS) display screen with 720p screen resolution. Under the hood it is powered by a quad-core Cortex-A7 processor clocked at 1.3GHz along with ARM Mali 450MP GPU and 1GB of RAM.

As per photography front it comes with a 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and at front it has a 2-megapixel front facing camera as well. For connectivity it has dual-SIM, 3G, Wi-Fi, WLAN Direct, EDGE and GPRS, Bluetooth 4.0 with A2DP, and micro-USB and as per software front it runs on Android Kitkat 4.4.4.

As told earlier, it houses a massive 5000mAh battery which is an improvement from 4200mAh which we had seen Gionee Marathon M2, this 5000mAh battery can last 32.46 hours of talk time on 3G network and up to 51 hours on 2G network. It can survive more than 32 days on standby mode.
