Microsoft has just launched its new office package, MS Office 2013 for public, this office package comes with several new changes and enhancement. Microsoft has made many improvements in its UI too like if you type or switch between menus then you will see some animation, it looks quite cool but it uses memory of your computer which slow it down. If you want to disable that animation then here is registry trick which will disable animation effect in Office 2013.

  • Open your run command by pressing Win Key + R and type regedit,
  • Now navigate to :-

HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftOffice15.0CommonGraphics

  • If Graphics key doesn’t exist then you can create it, Now click on Graphics key and on the right hand side create a new DWORD DisableAnimations and set its value a 1.

Disable_Animation_MS_Office_2013

  • That’s it, reopen your MS Word or Outlook or else and you will see that animation has been disabled.
  • If in future you want that animation back then just delete that DWORD value or set its value as 0.
