Last year mobile companies as started a new trend of providing better front facing camera on their respective devices so that end user can take better selfies or groupfies in some cases. Almost every smartphone manufacturer has launched selfie focused devices like by Sony, LG, Microsoft and so on. Today Asus has also launched a new smartphone under Zenfone series, the Zenfone Selfie in the ongoing computex event.
Asus Zenfone Selfie features 13MP rear and front facing camera with dual tone flash on both side. The main camera has auto focus and f/2.0 (which was missing in companies flagship Zenfone 2) which results in fast and better image in low lights. On the other hand, the front camera has got f/2.2 and 88-degree field of view which means you can include more and more friends to the image and make it group selfies.
Rest of the specs are similar to the Asus Zenfone 2 like 5.5 inch full HD display but this time Asus has used tougher glass, screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4 (Zenfone 2 has Corning Gorilla Glass 3), it also has got volume rockers at the back side and has same curved back panel for better and comfortable grip.
This time Asus has dropped Intel SoC and now joined hand with Snapdragon, Asus Zenfone Selfie is powered by Qualcomm mid range SoC, the quad-core Snapdragon 615 along with with Adreno 405 GPU for graphics.
Just like Zenfone 2, it too comes with 2GB and 4GB RAM variant with storage option of 16GB/32GB/64GB with support for Micro SD card which allows you to extend memory up to 64GB.
Asus hasnt announced price or availability details of this smartphone yet, keep an eye over here as we will update you as soon as we get some news.
