Last week Asus has announced a striped down variant of its highly popular Zenfone 5 (see review), the ZenFone 5 Lite or A502CG. Last week it was announced in Philippines with no word on global launch, but it seems company is taking Indian market on priority basis as this smartphone is now available on Indian online store, Flipkart at Rs. 8,999. At this time only Deep Black variant is available on Flipkart. It seems Flipkart will be its exclusive store like we had seen in other Asus Zenfone’s.
If we talk about specs then Asus ZenFone 5 Lite comes with 5-inch qHD display screen with screen resolution of 540×960 pixels, under the hood it is powered by 1.2GHz dual-core Intel Atom Z2520 processor with Hyper-Threading (four threads) along with 1GB of RAM and it comes with 8GB of memory which can be further expandable via microSD card.
As per photography front it comes with 8MP rear snapper with LED flash and a .3 MP front facing camera as well. For connectivity it has WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, 3G, Dual SIM and Micro USB and as per software front it runs on Android 4.4 KitKat right out of the box.
As compare to Zenfone 5, this Zenfone 5 Lite comes with several downgrades at the minimal price difference of Rs. 1K, what you think its a good choice for consumer or a bad pricing strategy from Asus? Share your views in comment section.
