Recently Asus has announced the stripped down variant of its popular ZenFone 5, the ZenFone 5 Lite or ZenFone 5 (A502CG) in phillipins, its a dual SIM smartphone and it is priced at PHP 5,595 (approximately Rs. 7,600), this smartphone will go on sale from next week and at this time there is no word when this smartphone will hit other countries or global market.

Asus Zenfone 5 Lite

If we talk about specs then Asus ZenFone 5 Lite comes with 5-inch qHD display screen with screen resolution of 540×960 pixels, under the hood it is powered by 1.2GHz dual-core Intel Atom Z2520 processor with Hyper-Threading (four threads) along with 1GB of RAM and it comes with 8GB of memory which can be further expandable via microSD card.

As per photography front it comes with 8MP rear snapper with LED flash and a .3 MP front facing camera as well. For connectivity it has WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, 3G, Dual SIM and Micro USB and as per software front it runs on Android 4.4 KitKat right out of the box.

It will be available in Charcoal Black, Pearl White and Cherry Red color variants in Philippines. It should be noted that Asus CEO Jerry Shen has said that company is going to launch next generation Zenfone, the Zenfone 2 which will be priced low as NTD 4,990 (around Rs. 10,000).
