After teasing from some time, finally Asus has announced the date for the launch of its latest smartphone under its Zenfone series, the Zenfone 2. Asus has sent an press note and it mention that device will be launched in a press meet on 23rd April in New Delhi. Asus has originally announced this smartphone earlier this year in Consumer Electronic Show, and in past week we have seen Asus is taking a dig on other smartphone present in market, and keep pointing the flagship devices like iPhone, Galaxy S6, OnePlus One and others.

Asus Zenfone Launch Date

f we talk about specs then the Asus Zenfone 2 features a 5.5-inch full HD IPS display screen with screen resolution of 1920×1080 pixels, with pixel density of 403ppi and it is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3, as you can see in image above it has very thin bezels around the display to which company claims that phone features 72 percent screen-to-body ratio.

Under the hood Asus Zenfone 2 is powered by Intel’s 64-bit Atom Z3580 quad-core processor clocked at 2.3GHz, and it is “industry’s first smartphone” which houses 4GB of RAM, however it comes in two variants – 2GB of LPDDR3 RAM, and another with 4GB of LPDDR3 RAM, It will be available in three inbuilt storage models – 16GB/32GB/64GB with microSD card support for memory expansion up to 64GB.

As per photography front, Asus Zenfone 2 features a 13-megapixel “Pixelmaster” snapper with f/2.0 aperture, zero shutter lag, and company is saying it as “the world’s best HDR technology.”, at front it has a 5-megapixel selfie camera with 85-degree wide-angle lens, it comes with different modes like Beautification mode, which offers real-time image enhancement, skin softening mode, blush and color correction, eye enhance and cheek thinning.

It houses a 3,000mAh battery with fast charging capabilities, which lets you charge battery to 60 percent in just 40 minutes, as per connectivity front it include dual-SIM, LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and Micro USB, if we talk about software front then it runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop wrapped under the company’s ZenUI.
