As we had reported earlier, Asus has launched dual SIM variant of its FonePad 7 tablet in India which was launched in Mobile World Congress this year. This tablet is launched at Rs. 12,999/-

Specs of Asus FonePad 7 remain same except processor has been upgraded; this dual-SIM variant is now powered by a 1.2GHz Intel Atom Z2520 dual-core processor, while the single-SIM variant was powered by a 1.6GHz dual-core Clover Trail Plus Z2560 processor.

Rest of the features remains same, has a 7-inch IPS display screen 1280×800 pixels, has 1GB of RAM and 16 GB of ROM which can be expanded up to 64 GB via microSD card and houses a 3,950mAh battery, which can last for 28 hours of talk time. As per software it runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean wrapped under Asus’s own UI.

At back it features a 5-megapixel rear camera and has a 1.2-megapixel front facing camera. For connectivity it include dual-SIM, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0 and GPS support.

At this price and specs it will compete with SAMSUNG GALAXY TAB 3 and LENOVO IDEA TAB A3000.
